Akvolt, Krall, Ithak and Ara had gone together on a mission to a nearby seaside town on the surface. Devek's team had reported more stragglers there, but the High Priest has offered to go himself.

From what could be understood from the scouts reports, it had been a week and a half since the flooding of the Hollow. With most of the Locust Horde presumed deceased from drowning, Princess Lacouna and High Priest Akvolt had only one goal for now, survive.

Fortunately, they had managed to find an old Locust castle which, while still in the Hollow, was built up on higher ground and had managed to escape the flooding. Akvolt had found the castle long before the flooding and wished to have it as a safe house for Lacouna, if she needed it.

I'm not sure where this idea came from, I always have a few loose cannon ideas rolling around in my imagination.

Anyway, this is silly spoof of a cutscene from MK9's story mode, where Reptile's mother isn't concerned about him spitting and sticking his tongue out at a Policeman, but rather, is upset that said Policemen beat him up.

True, Reptile is part of Shao Kahn's invasion force, but can you blame her for being protective of her son?

By the way, that's Vertigo from Primal Rage, a gem of a fighting game. Sadly, sprites for the characters are practically non-existent, so I had to make do.
